Welcome to The 2008 WolfPack Challenge!
Hi Folks, welcome to the WolfPack Challenge, welcome to
what has become one of the Most Competitive Modified Series in the
Nation!
Now in our 7th year, The WolfPack continues to seek out
the best, the very best because that is the only way we can judge
ourselves and our racers.
From the beginning, we have drawn Great Drivers and we have
consistently had most of the top 50 drivers in the Nation in UMP
race with us. In fact, in the last two years, 8 of the Top 10 in the
Nation have raced in WolfPack Races. That means tough, hard nose,
get up on the wheel racing. It also makes for some Great Shows for
the Fans!
Our numbers speak for themselves too! Although we have
had some bigger races, most of our shows are $1000 to Win and $125
dollars to start.
Not big money shows but with "no entry fees", we consistently draw
good numbers of cars and drivers. How Good? In 6 years we have had
over 2200 entries from over 10 states race in just 56 point
races.... That means that many nights, we send home more cars than
many tracks get to race, but they don't go home empty handed, all
non feature cars receive tow money. In fact, WolfPack Races have
paid over $25,000 dollars in tow money alone in those races.
Racers can expect even better numbers in 2008! We have
consistently added to our purse since we began, trying to add
dollars across the board. this year we have added money to 8 of the
top 10 spots in our feature purse. This means that we have now
raised every spot except 1st, and that has always been $1000.00 or
more! On top of that we have always added contingency awards worth
hundreds of dollars. These range from New Hoosier Tires, Gift
Certificates from local vendors, products, and cash. Anything that
we can find to help our racers and our fans!
Now, we prepare for 2008. This year we have taken a step
back and turned to center. This year our schedule will have many
more races in
Indiana. Our schedule should end up with a dozen or so shows, down
from last year and hopefully easier travel wise for our drivers and
fans. We also have some special things in mind as well, like our
opening show at Gas City with the USAC Sprints. That's bound to be a
packed house and the fans are always Great at
Gas
City... We are working on something special mid season and we finish
our season at The Action Track with what should be our Biggest Show
Ever!.....
